John Stevens Henslow (1796 - 1861) held the title of Professor of Botany at the University of Cambridge for 36 years. This A2 print reproduces one of the remarkable teaching charts that Henslow prepared to illustrate his popular lectures. Adiantum amoenum shows the tiny details of a maidenhair fern and was created with the help of a powerful microscope.
