The 'tree slide' photography of Dr Alan Crivellaro, a researcher at Cambridge University, is currently on display as part of the True to Nature exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum. These unusual images record the microscopic structures of tree specimens and offer a glimpse into the mysterious, surprising, and beautiful world of nature.

The circular shape of the slides is beautifully displayed in these domed glass magnets, featuring the following species: Helichrysum manni, Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine), Diospyros kaki (Japanese persimmon), and Welwitschia mirabilis.
