The Broughton bequest has given the Fitzwilliam Museum an outstanding collection of flower paintings and botanical drawings. The White Garden pack is one of our most popular choices and contains five images of diverse flower species, recreating through art widely admired white gardens such as the one at Sissinghurst, designed by poet Vita Sackville-West in 1950. All illustrations are watercolour on vellum works and include:
Natalie d'Esménard, Noisette Rose, 1823
Elizabeth Burgoyne, Cyclamen persicum
Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Magnolia macrophylla
The Hon. Lady Cockerell, Eucomis punctata
Antoine du Pinet, Convallaria majalis with a frog
