Ronald Searle, The Observer, 1978
Ronald Searle (1920-2011) was born in Cambridge and trained at Cambridge College of Arts and Technology (now Anglia Ruskin University). He is perhaps best known for illustrating the St Trinian's and Molesworth book series, and cartoons published by the New York Times. He was also a prolific artist of satirical and humorous works, including many wonderful drawings of cats behaving in typically and not so typically feline ways.
