Giuseppe Valeriani, design for a ceiling decoration, mid-18th century This design is included in an album of drawings from The Fitzwilliam Museum holdings entitled Dessins Anciens particulièrement de l'Epoque Baroque, or Old Drawings from the Baroque Period. Many of the drawings included within are by artist Giuseppe Valeriani (c.1708 - 1761/2), best known for his large scale decorative mural work, initially in his native Italy and later in the palaces of Russia.
