In a city of centuries-old architectural landmarks, the Corpus Clock at Corpus Christi College is a new and unique addition to Cambridge. It is the creation of Corpus alumnus John C. Taylor, and was unveiled to the public in 2008 by Stephen Hawking. The clock is also known as the Chronophage (time-eater), referring to the grasshopper-like creature that sits atop the golden clock face.
