Walking on the Grass, Dancing in the Corridors: Newnham at 150 - This collection of individual stories charts not only the history of women’s education in Cambridge but also presents a close portrait of a College by those who have lived and worked there. 

Celebrating the whole community of Newnham in all its variety, this book contains a smörgåsbord from the whole Newnham community: Fellows, alumnae, students, staff, and visitors alike. Journals, drawings, photographs, door notepads, interviews and recently discovered archival material capture something of the whole experience of being at Newnham.

To accompany these personal stories Gill Sutherland, former Vice-Principal of Newnham and an authority on nineteenth and twentieth century education, contributes an introduction which offers an overarching narrative of Newnham’s importance since the College was founded.

Newnham College is a lively and sociable women’s college at the heart of the University of Cambridge. Founded in 1871, Newnham is the oldest college run by women, for women.

This collection of stationery and gift items are all inspired by Newnham College.

Our prints are produced to demand and are shipped separately by our printing partner. They are currently only available within the UK.

Returns

Returning unwanted items

If you are not happy with an item you bought online, you can return it to us provided it is in its original condition (clothes not worn or washed, packages unopened).

Refunds for correctly delivered and undamaged items are available within 30 days of the goods' receipt. Please get in touch with us at sales@curatingcambridge.com to organise a return.

We recommend the use of a recorded-delivery service, for your own protection, since we cannot be held responsible for any returned goods that arrive damaged, or are lost in transit without proof of our receipt.
