Charles Ginner, Dahlias and Cornflowers, 1929
A charming study by Charles Ginner (1878 - 1952), a member of the Camden Town group along with contemporaries including Walter Sickert and Harold Gilman. Ginner was better known for his depictions of urban life but here turns his hand to still life with a deft rendition of contrasting flowers and rustic styled ceramic vases.
From the collection of The Fitzwilliam Museum.
