Samplers from The Fitzwilliam Museum's collection
The Fitzwilliam has an incredibly rich and diverse collection of needlework samplers as a result of generous donations from patrons over the course of the museum's history. These samplers display an impressive array of different embroidery techniques and act as documents of changing aesthetic tastes and social mores over the years.
