Grow vegetables with a little help from Darwin's children! The collection of Cambridge University Library contains many documents from the life of the great naturalist, including letters, photographs, and first drafts of his ground-breaking books. But his children added their own contributions: highly inventive and often humorous scribbles and sketches, added to the reverse of these manuscripts. This seed growing kit is inspired by a series of illustrations by Darwin's children known as 'The Battle of Fruits and Vegetables' - soldiers sit atop turnips, carrots, and pumpkins as they ride into battle. 

This starter kit, designed for kids (young and old!) is the perfect introduction to growing produce at home. It contains seeds to grow carrots, pumpkins, turnips, and wild strawberries, along with mini pots for seedlings, compost, and beautifully illustrated grow guides with space for notes and colouring in.
