Alfred Wallis, Land, fish and motor vessel, c.1932-37

Kettle's Yard has the largest collection of Alfred Wallis artworks in a public museum. A self-taught painter, Wallis spent most of his life working as a fisherman and scrap-metal merchant in St Ives, before turning to art later in life. His bold style is original and unmistakable.
